The Tiger Moth took its initial flight in the fall of 1931. The Royal Air Force utilized the popular and globally renowned Tiger Moth as a trainer. The biplane was small but feisty and continued into the jet engine age, finally retiring in 1959. An estimated 7,000 were manufactured, with 250 of those aircraft still flying. Today, the Tiger Moth continues to be a trainer aircraft for Warbird pilots. This model kit with 42 plastic parts faithfully recreates the De Havilland Tiger Moth in 1/72 scale. The fully assembled model is 10.2cm long and has a wingspan of 12.4cm.
