The Bristol Bulldog was a 1929 Royal Air Force aircraft that Douglas Bader famously flew. It was highly versatile and operated as the RAF’s primary single-seat fighter at the time. During an unauthorized aerobatics feat, Bader was injured and could have died were it not for the care he received from the staff of the Royal Berkshire Hospital. Sadly, both of his legs were amputated, but this would not be the end of the daredevil pilot’s career. He would become one of the most legendary pilots of WWII and a national hero. Of the aircraft, only two Bristol Bulldogs survived. This model kit with 120 plastic parts authenticates the Bristol Bulldog Mk.ll in 1/48 scale. The fully assembled model is 15.9cm long and 21.4cm wide.
