Very few tanks carry the reputation of the Tiger, even 75 years after its service life. This rebox of the Academy kit features the early rubber-tired road wheels, center-mounted blackout headlight, late cupola and mantlet with binocular sight. Tigers generally struggled with their own weight and transmission breakdown was an all too common occurrence. Unlike 60-ton tanks today, the German Army lacked efficient recovery vehicles. A captured Tiger was acquired by the Soviets virtually intact after it was abandoned and stuck. The Soviets were able to develop tactics to defeat the Tiger based on this salvaged vehicle. This kit builds into an impressive model of an iconic vehicle. When fully assembled, this 1/35 scale model measures 24.1cm long and 10.2cm wide.
