The Hetzer was a WWII light-tank destroyer built on the Czech Panzer 38(t) the Germans acquired prior to the war. Over 1,000 tanks were ordered by Hitler on January 18, 1944. The Hetzer was powered by a Praga AC/26-cylinder with a Praga-Wilson gearbox. With the 75mm gun, the tank weighed in at 15 tons with a top speed of 42km/h. The interior of the Hetzer was quite cramped with a loader, gunner, and driver set in a row on the lefthand side of the tank. This kit features the early-style gun mantlet and detail parts. When fully assembled, this 1/35 scale model measures 243mm long and 91mm wide. This kit is a rebox of the excellent Academy release.
